Zayn Malik Cancels 22 US And UK Shows After Mystery Illness Hospitalisation Sparks Panic Among Fans, From 31 Shows Down To Just 9: The Singer’s Shocking Decision Raises Growing Concerns About His Real Health Condition

Zayn Malik has dramatically slashed his upcoming world tour after being hospitalised with what has been described as a mystery illness, leaving devastated fans shocked as 22 US and UK dates were suddenly cancelled.

The former One Direction star, 33, confirmed on Friday that he is now back home and “recovering well” after the health scare forced him to completely rethink his schedule for the months ahead.

What was meant to be Zayn’s biggest-ever solo tour — featuring 31 dates across the world — has now been reduced to just nine shows as the singer focuses on his recovery.

Taking to Instagram Stories to address fans directly, Zayn thanked supporters for their concern and emotional messages during his difficult period.

He wrote: “To my fans thank you so much for all the support and love you’ve shown me on the album release and more importantly your love, prayers, and well wishes for my health. I’ve felt it, and it’s meant the world.”

The singer then reassured fans that he was slowly getting stronger again after returning home from hospital.

“I’ve been at home recovering and I’m doing well and will be better and stronger than before,” he added.

Zayn also explained that the difficult decision to cut the majority of the KONNAKOL Tour was necessary in order to protect his health while still trying to perform for as many fans as possible.

“I’ve had to take another look at my schedule for the months ahead and have to reduce the number of shows on the KONNAKOL Tour. I want to make sure I still get out and see as many of you as I possibly can.”

He concluded: “I’m really looking forward to playing these shows for you, and I hope to see the rest of you around the world very soon.”

The tour had originally been set to begin in Manchester on May 12 before moving to Glasgow, Birmingham and London. But following the major shake-up, Zayn will now launch the tour in London instead.

Several UK and Ireland dates — including Glasgow and Dublin — have now been scrapped entirely.

Despite the cancellations, Zayn is still expected to perform in Mexico, Argentina, Chile, Peru and Brazil later this year.

The tour was considered a major personal milestone for the singer, especially after he previously admitted struggling with “extreme anxiety” that forced him to cancel earlier live appearances in the past.

The health update comes amid growing drama surrounding Zayn’s relationship with former One Direction bandmate Louis Tomlinson.

Reports recently claimed the pair’s planned Netflix documentary series collapsed after an alleged physical altercation during filming in the US.

According to claims, Zayn allegedly punched Louis during an argument, with reports suggesting Louis suffered a concussion and later required medical treatment.

The pair are also said to have not spoken for six months following the alleged incident.

Fans further fuelled speculation about tensions between the former bandmates after Louis unfollowed Zayn on Instagram, while Zayn still continues to follow Louis on the platform.

Away from the controversy, Zayn’s family also recently issued a request asking fans to stop sending flowers to a local florist following the family’s charitable Ramadan work.

His cousin Sasha later thanked supporters for their kindness but encouraged fans to donate to The Palestine Project instead, saying the family “truly appreciate the love.”
