“LIKE WATCHING A TRAINWRECK” — Sinitta brands Adam Thomas’ meltdown ‘disturbing’, admitting that keeping him in felt like rewarding a ‘massive tantrum’

Sinitta has broken her silence on Adam Thomas’ explosive outburst on I’m A Celebrity… South Africa, claiming the situation was so intense that ITV should have stepped in much earlier.

The 62-year-old star described the shocking clash between Adam and Jimmy Bullard as deeply unsettling, revealing it unfolded for nearly an hour in front of stunned campmates.

She admitted she was visibly shaken, saying she kept asking those around her why no one was stopping it, insisting the situation felt wrong and out of control. Sinitta recalled desperately looking at others for intervention, saying she wanted someone — anyone — to step in before things escalated further.

According to her, producers appeared to let the confrontation play out while trying to shield other celebrities from witnessing the worst of it. She feared the argument could turn physical at any moment, warning everyone would regret it if someone got hurt.

Despite her strong reaction, Sinitta later revealed she still voted to keep Adam in the competition — not out of approval, but because she felt sorry for him. However, she admitted the decision left her conflicted, comparing it to rewarding a child for throwing a huge tantrum.

Following the chaotic finale, Sinitta shared a lengthy message explaining her perspective, stressing that many of her opinions were formed in real time during filming and captured in personal diary notes. She said she chose not to alter those views after watching the edited show, acknowledging that editing can sometimes change how events and people are perceived.

She also expressed frustration that the final became so chaotic that contestants struggled to speak over one another, wishing everyone had been given a fair chance to be heard.

While addressing the backlash, Sinitta made it clear she does not believe the term “bully” should be used lightly. She acknowledged Adam had apologised, describing it as a mature step, and urged viewers to consider both sides of the story rather than jumping to conclusions.

She also defended herself against online abuse, pointing out that while people may disagree with her, the insults she has received are unacceptable. She challenged critics to reflect on how they would treat their own family members before leaving harsh comments.

Sinitta ended on a surprisingly heartfelt note, saying that despite one difficult incident, she still cherished the experience and holds affection for all her campmates. She congratulated Adam on his win and said she genuinely wishes him well, adding that she is still learning how to cope with the intense scrutiny that comes with modern social media.

The controversy comes after a dramatic live final that spiralled into chaos, with Jimmy accusing producers of cutting key footage and confronting hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly on air.

Adam later took responsibility for his actions, admitting emotions ran high and apologising to Jimmy multiple times, insisting that behaviour was not reflective of who he is.
