Brooklyn Beckham has once again found himself at the centre of the Beckham family drama after publicly failing to acknowledge his mother Victoria Beckham’s 52nd birthday, while his wife Nicola Peltz appeared to make a pointed move that only added more fuel to the long-running feud.
Victoria was showered with birthday messages from family members, celebrity friends and fans as she celebrated turning 52 in Miami. But despite the flood of public tributes, Brooklyn and Nicola remained noticeably silent, with neither of them posting a birthday message for the former Spice Girl.
Instead, Nicola shared content that many fans saw as a subtle dig. She reposted a video linked to an LA dog charity, a cause that has already become a sensitive flashpoint in the family fallout.
The timing did not go unnoticed. Earlier this year, Brooklyn had accused his mother of refusing to support the charity when Nicola had tried to draw attention to displaced dogs during the LA fires. In his explosive statement at the time, he wrote: “We’ve gone out of our way for years to show up and support at every fashion show, every party, and every press activity to show ‘our perfect family!’”
He continued: “But the one time my wife asked for my mum’s support to save displaced dogs during the LA fires, my mum refused.”
While Brooklyn and Nicola stayed silent online, Victoria embraced the occasion in glamorous style. She kicked off her birthday celebrations with an intimate girls’ dinner in Miami and shared a series of updates with fans as she got ready for the evening.
Showing off her chosen look, Victoria gave followers a glimpse of her outfit and said: “So I’m here in Miami and tonight I’m going out with my girlfriends for my birthday and I’ve got this amazing navy blue jersey dress which I love.”
She added: “I love the waist detail here, which really brings the waist in making it look super super toned. It’s got a slit up the side as well… It is the perfect party dress for a night out with my girlfriends.”
The fashion designer looked effortlessly polished in the figure-hugging navy dress, which she paired with blue open-toed heels, diamond bracelets and an emerald ring. Her hair was styled in loose natural waves, while her makeup featured a soft smoky eye.
Victoria later headed to Casadonna with a close-knit group of friends, where the birthday dinner included luxurious Italian dishes in an elegant setting.
The awkward birthday silence came just days after Victoria addressed the painful estrangement for the first time in an interview with The Wall Street Journal Magazine. Although she did not mention Brooklyn by name, she made it clear that, from her perspective, everything she and David had done had been rooted in love.
She said: “I think that we’ve always—we love our children so much.”
Victoria went on: “We’ve always tried to be the best parents that we can be. And you know, we’ve been in the public eye for more than 30 years right now, and all we’ve ever tried to do is protect our children and love our children.”
“And you know, that’s all I really want to say about it.”
Her careful words may have been measured, but Brooklyn’s silence on such a public family occasion, combined with Nicola’s social media post, has only deepened speculation that the rift is far from over.
