The Fury household has hit back hard after a wave of criticism erupted over teenage daughter Venezuela’s engagement — and they’re making one thing crystal clear: they’re not listening.
Venezuela, 16, said yes to her 17-year-old boyfriend Noah Price when he proposed during her lavish birthday party, a moment set to feature in the upcoming season of At Home With The Furys alongside her famous father, Tyson Fury.
But what should have been a joyful milestone quickly turned controversial, with critics flooding social media to claim the teenager is “too young” to get married.
Paris Fury, however, shut that down immediately — drawing from her own love story. She explained that she herself was engaged at 17 and has now spent over two decades with Tyson, insisting their marriage is proof that young love can last. She said their life together is “great” and added that all she can do is hope the same happiness awaits her daughter.
Clearly frustrated by the backlash, Paris questioned why people felt the need to interfere at all, saying she doesn’t understand the constant criticism or the harsh tone directed at a 16-year-old. She added that Venezuela isn’t “ending her life” — she’s simply getting married, making plans, travelling, and building a future while Noah continues boxing and she focuses on social media.
Venezuela herself didn’t stay silent either. The teen pushed back against the negativity, insisting there is no problem with her decision and accusing critics of trying to drag her down. She made it clear she feels “happy and excited” about married life and refuses to let outside opinions overshadow that.
Paris doubled down on her defence, saying she can’t see any issue with her daughter’s choices and believes the harsh comments say more about the critics than about Venezuela’s relationship. She suggested that those judging so harshly may not have experienced happy relationships themselves.

“WE’RE BLISSFULLY HAPPY”: A family standing firm
Paris also revealed she married Tyson at 18 and, despite ups and downs, their relationship remains strong — something she has openly shared with her daughter as a realistic expectation of marriage.
She admitted that no relationship is perfect but stressed that Venezuela understands that reality. What she doesn’t understand, however, is the intensity of the backlash, calling out those who continue to “push down” on a teenager’s life.
Meanwhile, Venezuela has already thrown herself into pre-wedding celebrations. She recently hosted a lavish hen party attended by around 300 guests at Morecambe Football Club, complete with a buffet, karaoke, and a DJ. Dressed in a striking gold gown, she proudly showed off her engagement ring while arriving at the event, telling reporters she “can’t wait” for married life.
Standing beside her, Paris — a mother of eight — looked equally glamorous, reinforcing the united front the family has presented throughout the controversy.
Despite the noise online, the message from the Furys is unwavering: they’re choosing happiness over criticism — and they’re not apologising for it.
