Josie Gibson has left fans both intrigued and puzzled after revealing she’s turned to an unusual form of “self-care” — climbing into a hyperbaric oxygen chamber — all while speculation swirls about her biggest TV move yet.
The This Morning presenter, 41, shared a video from inside the compact chamber on Instagram, where she appeared relaxed and upbeat, wearing an oxygen mask and flashing a peace sign to the camera. Dressed in a black sports bra, Josie also subtly showcased her recent weight loss, looking confident and composed during the session.

The treatment, known as hyperbaric oxygen therapy, involves breathing 100% oxygen at higher-than-normal atmospheric pressure. It’s typically used in medical settings to support healing, boost oxygen levels in the blood, reduce swelling and aid tissue repair — but Josie didn’t reveal exactly why she opted for it.
Instead, she kept things light-hearted, writing: “Some women treat themselves to designer handbags and some women treat themselves to hyperbaric oxygen chamber #alternativehealing.”
Her post comes at a time when her name is dominating headlines for another reason entirely — reports that she’s in advanced talks to join this year’s Strictly Come Dancing.

According to insiders, BBC bosses are keen to finally secure Josie after previously missing out on signing her. One source said they believe her “down-to-earth charm” could be exactly what the show needs as it prepares for a refreshed format following recent cast shake-ups.
They added that Josie is seen as “warm and engaging” and a guaranteed hit with viewers if she signs on.
The timing of her wellness update has only fuelled curiosity — especially as she recently admitted she’s been feeling overwhelmed balancing work and motherhood.

Josie, who shares seven-year-old son Reggie with her ex-partner, spoke candidly about her struggles, saying she feels like she’s “juggling, struggling and stressed” while trying to keep everything together as a single mum.
She also explained why she’s resisted taking on a full-time presenting role, insisting that being there for her son matters more than career opportunities. She said she only gets one chance at motherhood and doesn’t want to miss it, adding that staying close to her roots in the West Country helps her feel grounded.
Despite her TV success, Josie has also surprised many by choosing a modest lifestyle — even living in a caravan with her son while her home undergoes renovations. Friends say she’s never been driven by luxury, though she still hopes to find a partner she can truly rely on after past heartbreak.

Recent rumours of a potential romance were quickly shut down after she was spotted getting close to a social media star at Cheltenham — only for it to emerge he is already engaged.
Now, with whispers of Strictly growing louder and her personal life under the spotlight, Josie’s latest “alternative healing” moment has only added to the intrigue surrounding what could be a transformative year for the presenter.
