Jordan Brook has finally walked out of hospital after a harrowing fight against viral meningitis and encephalitis — and the emotional reunion with his pregnant partner Sophie Kasaei has left fans in tears.
The 31-year-old had spent nearly three weeks in a hospital bed battling what doctors described as one of the most severe cases they had ever seen. Diagnosed with viral meningitis — an inflammation of the brain and spinal cord lining — Jordan also suffered from encephalitis, a rare and potentially life-threatening swelling of the brain.

But in a moment that captured just how far he’s come, Jordan shared a heartfelt clip as he was discharged, thanking the medical team who stood by him through the darkest days of his life.
Waiting for him outside was Sophie, seven months pregnant with their baby boy — and in a powerful, emotional scene, Jordan dropped to his knees and kissed her bare baby bump, a gesture that said more than words ever could.
Reflecting on the ordeal, Jordan admitted the past few weeks had been nothing short of traumatic. He revealed he spent 22 days in hospital, with fragmented memories from his initial admission and terrifying symptoms including brain swelling, inflammation and acute memory loss. He said the only memories he could recall were ones he wished he could forget forever.

Yet despite the horror, he made it clear he refused to dwell on the past, saying he had survived something unimaginable — and he hadn’t done it alone.
He paid a deeply emotional tribute to Sophie, crediting her and their unborn son for keeping him fighting when things felt impossible. He said they were his whole life and that he couldn’t wait to finally get home, get into bed with her, and begin their future together as a healthy family of three.
Jordan also spoke movingly about his father, describing him as his “superhero” who never left his side — even spending nights sleeping on the hospital floor just to hold his hand. He said if he could become even half the father his dad is, he would be the proudest man alive.
His mother, too, was praised for her strength — juggling overnight hospital stays, work, and caring for family members without ever breaking. Jordan said her resilience left him in awe.
He went on to thank friends and family for their constant support, saying he would be eternally grateful, before delivering a powerful message of gratitude to the staff at Basildon Hospital. He described the doctors and nurses as becoming like family, praising their compassion, patience and unwavering care during moments when he was scared and struggling. He credited them with saving his life and called them a credit to both the NHS and humanity.

Fans quickly flooded his post with messages of relief and support, celebrating his recovery and the emotional reunion with Sophie. Many admitted they felt overwhelmed with happiness for the couple, despite never having met them.
Sophie had previously described the ordeal as the “worst month of our lives,” revealing that Jordan had suffered seizures as a result of his condition. As she entered her third trimester, she said all she could think about was the day he would come home so they could spend the final weeks of pregnancy preparing for their baby together.
Now, that moment has finally arrived — turning what once felt like a nightmare into the beginning of a long-awaited new chapter.
