Josie Gibson has candidly admitted she is “struggling and stressed” as she navigates life as a working single mum — just as hopes of a new romance with the so-called “world’s hottest farrier” dramatically fell apart.
The beloved TV presenter, 41, who shares seven-year-old son Reggie with her ex, opened up about the reality behind the smiles, insisting she is far from a perfect role model. Speaking honestly, Josie said mums shouldn’t look up to her, explaining she is simply trying to cope like everyone else.

She revealed, “Mums don’t look up to me. I’m juggling, I’m struggling, I’m stressed. I am just like any other mum out there. It’s all a juggle and it’s all a learning curve and I am just trying to hold it together.”
Despite her rising TV career, Josie made it clear motherhood comes first — even turning down the idea of a full-time role on This Morning so she can be present for her son. She explained that being a mum is something you only get one chance at, and that time can never be replaced.
Away from the spotlight, Josie has chosen a surprisingly grounded lifestyle. While her home undergoes major renovations, she and Reggie have been living in a caravan — a decision that has left some neighbours puzzled given her success. But insiders say Josie is completely content with a simpler life and would happily continue living that way.
However, there is one thing she still longs for.

Sources say Josie is open about wanting love again, hoping to find a man she can truly rely on and build a stable family life with for her son. Friends believe she has been hurt in the past, but remains optimistic and still believes in love.
One insider revealed she would “sing it from the rooftops” about wanting to settle down with a good man, adding that she doesn’t need luxury or expensive things to be happy — just the right partner.
That hope recently seemed within reach when Josie was spotted getting close to social media star and farrier Sam Wolfenden at Cheltenham earlier this month. Fans were quick to speculate a romance was blossoming.
But the excitement didn’t last long.

It has since emerged that Sam is already engaged to his childhood sweetheart, Grace Richardson, with whom he shares a child — shattering fans’ hopes and leaving the moment as nothing more than a misunderstanding.
Meanwhile, Josie continues to focus on her career and personal projects, including documenting her home renovations on her show Josie Gibson’s Big Country Build.
From winning Big Brother in 2010 to becoming a firm favourite on This Morning and beyond, Josie’s journey has been remarkable — but behind the success lies a woman simply trying to balance it all.
