Coronation Street star Tina O’Brien has stunned fans by revealing that her youthful appearance isn’t down to expensive treatments or elaborate skincare routines — but something far simpler.
The 42-year-old actress admitted that her beauty regime is so minimal it’s “almost non-existent”, despite regularly promoting collagen supplements on social media.
Speaking candidly in an Instagram video, Tina said that people often assume she follows a strict routine. But in reality, she explained: she’s never had one. As she approaches 43, she shared that when people ask what products she uses, the answer is surprisingly basic.
She said that working in television might make people think she follows a complicated routine, but that’s not the case at all. Instead, she relies on a few simple habits — and above all, sleep.
Tina revealed she is “obsessed with sleep” and needs at least eight hours a night, but ideally aims for ten. She also highlighted hydration and collagen as part of her routine, but insisted nothing replaces proper rest.
In the caption accompanying her post, she reinforced that she has never followed a strict skincare plan, instead sticking to three key things: getting enough sleep, drinking plenty of water, and using collagen.
However, behind her glowing appearance lies a far more emotional chapter.
The soap star has endured a difficult period in recent months, following the devastating death of her father and the breakdown of her relationship with interior designer Adam Fadlé.
Opening up to fans late last year, Tina shared her grief in a heartfelt post, admitting she had struggled to find the words after losing her dad. She said her heart felt heavy, but she was grateful he was no longer suffering, and thanked those who supported her through the painful time.
Her personal life also saw upheaval, with her romance with Adam Fadlé ending in November 2025. The pair had only recently gone public, appearing together at co-star Jack P Shepherd’s wedding just months earlier.
Sources later revealed that Tina chose to end the relationship after deciding it “wasn’t going anywhere” and didn’t want to invest in something that wouldn’t last — a decision that reportedly left Adam shocked.
She made her stance clear by removing all traces of their relationship from social media, including photos from a romantic getaway to Greece.
The split followed closely behind the collapse of her seven-year marriage to Adam Crofts, with whom she shares her 11-year-old son Beau. The couple are believed to have separated over Christmas 2024.
Tina is also mother to 17-year-old Scarlett, whom she shares with former co-star Ryan Thomas. Scarlett is already carving out her own career, having appeared in BBC drama Waterloo Road.
Despite her famous family connections — including her uncle, Love Island star Scott Thomas — Scarlett’s success hasn’t come without effort. Ryan previously insisted their daughter is not getting special treatment, despite her rising profile and potential to earn millions before turning 18.
