Rylan Clark’s Face Transformation Leaves Co-Star Stunned Live On Air — “I Had Something Done Yesterday”: Star Shocks Fans After ‘Painful’ Cosmetic Procedure on His Face

Rylan Clark has revealed he underwent a “traumatic” cosmetic procedure just one day before appearing on his BBC Radio 2 show, after his noticeably refreshed appearance sparked questions on air.

The 37-year-old presenter was back on the radio on Saturday when his co-star Sally Boazman immediately picked up on his striking new look. Complimenting him live on air, she told him: “You’re looking very good these days,” before cheekily asking: “Have you gone under the knife recently?”

Rylan, who has long been candid about the cosmetic work he has had over the years, admitted there had indeed been a recent change. He said: “Weirdly, I had something done yesterday, which was, ugh, such a trauma, I’m not gonna lie, what I had done.”

He stopped short of revealing exactly what procedure he had undergone, but made it clear it was no minor tweak. “I won’t go into it over the radio,” he said, before explaining why: “Because it was just quite invasive on the faces! Yeah, it was very invasive.”

The exchange quickly turned playful, with Sally asking whether the mystery treatment might do her any good too. Rylan firmly insisted it would not, prompting her to joke: “I’m beyond help, that’s what you mean, isn’t it?”

Rylan then steered the conversation towards his mum Linda, revealing he had spoken to her the day before about the possibility of more dramatic cosmetic work in the future. Hinting that subtle treatments may no longer be enough, he said: “I said to Linda yesterday, you know, all of this ain’t going to do anything now, it’s time to go in for…”

Sally jumped in to finish the sentence with: “The big one,” as Rylan laughed and teased: “So, if you want to come… I’m joking! You’re beautiful!”

The joking did not stop there. When Sally quipped that even if she had a spare £30,000, she would not be spending it on cosmetic surgery, Rylan fired back with a trademark line about his mother. “30 grand! I ain’t spending that on Linda’s face!” he exclaimed.

He then doubled down with the kind of outrageous humour listeners have come to expect from him, saying: “I’d rather pick her up by the head, and shake her about, and chop it off myself! 30 grand – she’s not Kris Jenner!”

Rylan has never hidden his relationship with cosmetic enhancements, having previously spoken openly about everything from Botox and fillers to his famously bright white teeth. But his latest confession suggests he may now be entering a far more dramatic phase of transformation — one serious enough for him to describe as both “trauma” and “very invasive.”

His mother Linda remains a fan favourite among Radio 2 listeners, regularly joining him on air for warm and chaotic chats that have become a staple of his show. Earlier this year, she also made headlines after suffering a painful fall while taking the rubbish out, fracturing her shoulder after slipping on ice.

Recalling the moment he found out about the accident, Rylan said at the time: “Well that was a lovely phone call I got that morning, you on your way to the hospital. But it could’ve been worse, it could’ve been your arm and your leg like we’ve had before.”

With his latest appearance now turning heads, fans are once again left guessing exactly what Rylan has had done — but one thing is certain: whatever the procedure was, it made an instant impact.
