Eamonn Holmes’ girlfriend has described the past year together as “hell,” revealing she faced psychological threats directed at both herself and her children. The statement comes as Ruth Langsford has reportedly used legal means to block Eamonn’s access to their £3.6 million home

Katie Alexander, the girlfriend of GB News presenter Eamonn Holmes, has revealed the emotional toll of the past year, describing her experience as a “year from hell” filled with lies, psychological threats, and trauma for both herself and her children.

In a raw and honest Instagram Story shared on Monday, Katie, 43, opened up about the backlash she’s faced since beginning her relationship with Eamonn, 65, following his high-profile split from Loose Women host Ruth Langsford.

She wrote: “2024 has been the year from hell – lies about me, death threats from strangers. My mental health has taken a hit, and so has my children’s. One thing I don’t do is forget.”

Katie’s emotional statement comes just as Ruth Langsford has legally moved to sever joint ownership of the £3.6 million Surrey home she once shared with Eamonn. Public records confirm that should Ruth pass away, her share of the six-bedroom property will no longer transfer to her ex-husband, with whom she shares a son, Jack.

Meanwhile, Katie and Eamonn have officially gone public with their relationship after nearly a year of dating, posting a photo together on Instagram just last week. But behind the smiles lies a difficult period for the GB News star.

Last week, Eamonn issued a heartbreaking update about his declining health. After suffering a fall from his chair during a live GB News broadcast, he admitted the physical and emotional struggle has intensified.

Reflecting on a photo from 2022, when he was still able to walk, the TV veteran wrote: “Great picture popped up from three years ago, but it’s made me sad – I could walk. Got to redouble my efforts.”

Eamonn’s ongoing health issues stem from a double hip replacement in 2016 and a complex spinal operation in 2022 that left him reliant on a wheelchair. He remains determined to walk again, despite the setbacks.
