David Beckham marked son Cruz’s 21st birthday with an emotional – and notably pointed – tribute, praising the young musician as “kind, considerate and fiercely loyal” as speculation over his fractured relationship with eldest son Brooklyn continues to swirl.
The former England captain took to Instagram early Friday morning to celebrate the milestone, sharing a touching video montage of Cruz as a child – strumming guitars, playing piano and laughing alongside his siblings, including Brooklyn.

In a message that many fans interpreted as loaded with meaning, David wrote: “Happy 21st birthday to my little boy. Not so little anymore but the proudest thing that I am of you is the person and man that you have become, you are kind, considerate and fiercely loyal to your family, friends and everyone around you which makes you a very special person.”
He continued: “You are on your own journey in life and you are working hard and having fun which is what life is all about… We love you Cruzie and hope you have the most amazing day because you deserve to.”
Signing off with a nod to wife Victoria, he added: “Well done mum on bringing up another special young man.”
The tribute comes at a sensitive time for the family, with Brooklyn Beckham and his wife Nicola Peltz remaining noticeably absent from recent gatherings and celebrations.

Victoria: “The World Is Now Your Oyster”
Victoria Beckham also shared her pride, posting a heartfelt family video and telling Cruz: “Happy birthday… we could not be prouder of the sweet, kind, talented young man you have become.”
She added: “You have worked so hard and learned your craft, the world is now your oyster. We love you so much!!”
Older brother Romeo Beckham kept things simple, sharing a throwback snap with the caption: “Love you bro.” Meanwhile, Cruz’s girlfriend Jackie Apostel paid tribute to “her human”, writing alongside a series of images from infancy to now: “You’ve been the exact same since day 0.”
Even Victoria’s younger sister, Jackie Adams, joined the celebrations, calling Cruz “one of the most amazing humans I know.”

A Party – But One Notable Absence
Just days before the birthday itself, David and Victoria hosted a lavish Beatles-themed bash for Cruz at Mayfair restaurant The Maine. The event was reportedly attended by close family and friends – but Brooklyn and Nicola, who are now based in the US, did not appear to be present.
Cruz, who has recently launched his music career with band The Breakers, has long shown a passion for music, as highlighted in the nostalgic clips shared by his parents.
Yet while the focus was firmly on Cruz’s milestone, fans couldn’t help but notice the contrast: glowing public affirmations of loyalty on one side, and continued silence from Brooklyn on the other.
