Cruz Beckham stepped out in London on Friday with a swagger straight out of an 80s showroom — brown leather jacket, crisp white shirt, tie neatly in place, and electric guitar in hand — as he celebrated the release of his brand-new single For Your Love.
The 20-year-old musician was joined by his girlfriend, songwriter Jackie Apostel, as he made the rounds promoting the track, including an appearance on Virgin Radio. Jackie kept things effortlessly chic in a long grey coat layered over a vibrant yellow jumper, perfectly complementing Cruz’s retro-inspired look.
And it seems Cruz has struck a chord.

Fans flooded social media with praise, hailing the track as “a perfect cross between the Beatles and Oasis — in a good way.” One enthused: “This is giving such 90’s indie vibes! I love it! Oasis, Blur, even a bit of Beatles sound — LOVE IT! Real raw music is what we want back!” Another wrote: “Somewhere between MTV 1989 and 1997, perfect mix.” Others simply declared the song their “fav fav” and insisted it was already “on REPEAT.”
The Britpop-infused visuals for For Your Love — inspired by The Stone Roses — double as a heartfelt tribute to family, even as the Beckhams remain locked in a bitter feud with eldest brother Brooklyn Beckham.

Shot partly inside Tony’s Traditional Pie and Mash Shop — a beloved haunt of dad David Beckham — the video is packed with subtle nods to home. Cruz’s brother Romeo gets a namecheck, while his grandfather Tony makes a charming cameo, appearing on a retro TV screen to introduce the band for their “first TV performance.”
Speaking on The Chris Evans Breakfast Show, Cruz beamed about his grandad’s appearance, saying he is in one of the music videos. He is a great human and he was in a band when he was younger. He taught me about the Beatles. He’s still got it but he doesn’t gig anymore.

Later, host Chris Evans sent a playful shoutout to Cruz’s parents live on air, saying, “Good morning to mum and dad. They know who they are. In the gym and on the school run.” He added, hinting at their pride: “Tears are being shed. Don’t worry, the pleasure is all ours.”
Cruz himself shared how much the track means to him, explaining: “I love this song. It’s been so fun to play live over the last couple of months. It was the first track I properly finished with Justin and Lewis, who are total legends at what they do, and we all walked away knowing this had really laid the foundations for everything else we’ve created together. For me, it’s all about love and being fearless in that love, but I hope everyone can interpret it in their own way and find their own meaning to it.”
The single follows his 2025 debut Optics and marks another bold step in his journey with band The Breakers. His upcoming headline show at The Courtyard Theatre sold out within minutes, before he announced an ambitious UK and EU tour.
Meanwhile, the family drama continues to simmer. While Cruz shared nostalgic childhood snaps set to Billy Joel’s The River of Dreams, Brooklyn responded with loved-up tributes to wife Nicola Peltz, accompanied by Barry White’s You’re The First, The Last, My Everything. Despite tensions, both Victoria Beckham and David publicly backed Cruz’s new release, with Victoria gushing she was “so proud” of her son.
In a week defined by divided loyalties, Cruz’s message was clear: music, memories — and maybe, just maybe, hope.
