Wynne Evans has broken his silence after being axed by the BBC, sharing a heartfelt message with fans that has sparked a wave of emotion online.
The Welsh opera singer and former Strictly Come Dancing star confirmed on May 30 that his one-year rolling contract with the BBC will not be renewed, following a four-month internal investigation after an incident involving presenter Janette Manrara during the Strictly tour.

Taking to Instagram with a video message to his loyal fanbase — affectionately known as “Wynners” — Wynne didn’t hold back his emotions.
“From the very depths of my heart — thank you,” he said. “These past few months, your love has been the light in my darkest days.”
Visibly emotional, Wynne continued, “It breaks my heart to say the BBC has decided not to renew my contract. I won’t be returning to my radio show. I’m gutted. That show wasn’t just work — it was home. We laughed, we cried, we sang like nobody was listening. We became a family.”

Despite the painful farewell, Wynne was quick to rally his supporters with news of a fresh start. The Wynne Evans Show will return — this time live every morning from 9am to 12pm via a new digital app and on smart speakers like Alexa and Google.
He declared, “This is our next adventure — and I need you now more than ever.”
As he embarks on this new chapter, Wynne admitted he feels “nervous,” but also “hopeful” and “filled with love.”
The BBC later confirmed Wynne is no longer under contract and has no current projects lined up with the broadcaster.
