Newly single Jesy Nelson has shown her sense of humour — and her glow — as she shared a sultry selfie just weeks after confirming her split from fiancé Zion Foster.
The former Little Mix star, 34, joked that she is “not always a haggard old mum” while posing freshly made-up, offering fans a rare light-hearted moment amid what has been an emotionally brutal chapter in her life.

Earlier this month, Jesy revealed that her eight-month-old twin daughters, Ocean and Story, were diagnosed at birth with Spinal Muscular Atrophy Type 1 (SMA1) — a rare genetic condition that causes severe muscle weakness and atrophy. Since then, the singer has become a tireless campaigner for SMA screening at birth, stressing that early diagnosis can dramatically reduce long-term effects.
Against that backdrop, Jesy’s playful post carried extra weight. Captioning the snap, she teased that she’s “not always a haggard old Mum,” thanking her make-up artist for the confidence boost — a message many fans saw as quietly defiant after her breakup.
Jesy and Zion, who became engaged in September 2025, reportedly ended their relationship earlier this month following what insiders described as an incredibly intense year. Their journey into parenthood — including pregnancy complications and the twins’ devastating diagnosis — is set to be explored in her upcoming Amazon documentary, Jesy Nelson: Life After Little Mix, due for release on February 13.

Despite the split, Zion recently shared an emotional Instagram post reflecting on what he called a “rollercoaster” year, admitting the family had endured “a lot of traumatic moments” and saying he was praying for “clarity, peace and growth” as they focus on giving Ocean and Story the strongest possible support system.
Sources close to the pair insist they remain united as co-parents, with their daughters’ wellbeing firmly at the centre of every decision. As one insider put it, their romantic relationship may be over, but their shared fight for their children — and for wider awareness of SMA — is only just beginning.
