Peter Andre has shared a deeply emotional update about his mother’s declining health, revealing that she is now unable to speak as her battle with Parkinson’s and Alzheimer’s progresses.
The 52-year-old singer took to Instagram to post a tender video of his 19-month-old daughter Belle chatting happily over FaceTime with her grandfather, Savvas. While the clip itself was full of warmth and innocence, Peter’s caption carried a quiet heartbreak as he explained that his mother Thea, 89, who lives in Australia, has now lost her ability to speak.

He wrote that no matter what happens in his life, moments like these are the most precious to him, adding that it is devastating that his mum can no longer talk. Still, he shared how Belle enjoys a daily “conversation” with her Bapou — Greek for grandfather — and that the bond between them melts his heart every time. Belle also sees her Yiayia every day, Peter explained, but the effects of Parkinson’s are becoming more visible, something he said he feels deeply as he cherishes every moment with both his parents and his children.
Peter has previously spoken candidly about fearing that last Christmas could have been his mother’s final one. He revealed plans to fly back to Australia with his wife Emily and their children to spend precious time with his parents. In an earlier interview, he admitted that his mum’s Parkinson’s had progressed significantly, with her speech almost completely gone, describing the situation as a “raw pain” he still struggles to accept, even as a grown man.

He also reflected on his father Savvas, now 92, who has been by his wife’s side every single day for decades. Peter spoke with gratitude about his parents reaching an extraordinary milestone — celebrating 70 years of marriage — and shared how touched they were to receive a letter from the King marking the occasion. Although his mother can barely speak now, Peter said he knows her heart is filled with warmth from the love surrounding her.

Earlier this year, Peter shared another emotional moment from Australia, posting a video of his mother gently caressing his face as she tried to communicate with him. He admitted he didn’t know exactly what she was saying, but that words were no longer needed to understand the love between them.
