Sir David Beckham is said to have made a discreet, last-ditch effort to mend the deepening rift with his eldest son by reaching out not only to Brooklyn Beckham, but also to Brooklyn’s wife, Nicola Peltz, amid one of the most painful chapters in the Beckham family’s history.
According to reports, the former Manchester United and England captain extended an invitation for Brooklyn and Nicola to attend his long-awaited investiture at Windsor Castle, where he was formally knighted by King Charles III last October. David is also understood to have personally invited Nicola to join him for a late-night dinner in west London following the ceremony — a move seen by insiders as an attempt to build bridges behind the scenes.

However, Brooklyn, now 26 and living in the United States with his actress wife, declined the offer. Sources claim he viewed the invitation as a carefully orchestrated PR moment rather than a genuine attempt at reconciliation, and chose to stay away. As a result, the historic Berkshire ceremony — and the subsequent after-party at a Chelsea restaurant — was attended by David’s parents Ted and Sandra, his three younger children, and his wife Victoria Beckham, but not by the couple whose absence has become increasingly conspicuous.
The missed investiture was only the latest in a string of high-profile family events Brooklyn and Nicola have skipped over the past year, including David’s milestone 50th birthday celebration and the red-carpet launch of Victoria’s new Netflix series — each absence quietly fuelling speculation that the feud has grown far deeper than previously thought.

While David’s overtures were rebuffed, Nicola has now broken her silence in her own subtle way. Returning to Instagram this week as she celebrated her 31st birthday in Florida, she shared a series of intimate home snaps featuring Brooklyn cooking dinner for her family. One image showed him at the stove with an unmistakable bottle of his Cloud 23 hot sauce in the background, accompanied by a simple caption: “Nights like this.”
The low-key posts came just hours after it emerged that relations between Brooklyn and his parents deteriorated so badly last summer that he formally asked David and Victoria to contact him only through lawyers. Despite the bombshell revelations, Brooklyn appeared unfazed online, uploading another cooking video in which he demonstrated how to prepare lobster mac and cheese — again subtly promoting his Cloud 23 brand.

Insiders insist that, while Brooklyn has cut off direct communication with his parents, he has remained in regular contact with his grandparents on both sides of the family. One source said Brooklyn “absolutely adores them” and has made an effort to stay in touch privately, without dragging them into what has been described as a “soul-crushing” dispute. The same source added that throughout the turmoil, Nicola has remained “his absolute rock.”
There has been no formal legal action between Brooklyn and his parents, but letters were exchanged via their respective legal teams after he requested that all communication go through solicitors — a move that reportedly explains why he blocked David, Victoria, and even siblings Romeo, Cruz and Harper on social media shortly before Christmas. Friends on both sides continue to hope that tensions will ease, but for now, the silence between father and son remains painfully intact.
