Michelle Keegan has opened up about life behind closed doors with husband Mark Wright, admitting that their nine-year marriage has slowed down — and she’s completely fine with that.
The Fool Me Once actress, who tied the knot with former TOWIE star Mark Wright in 2015, gave fans a rare peek into how their relationship has evolved since those early, whirlwind years of romance and red carpets.
In a candid chat with Closer Magazine, Michelle revealed that while their love remains strong, the pace of their relationship has definitely changed. “I’m happy to have a night on the sofa with our dogs watching TV and relaxing,” she said. “But we do still like to get dressed up and go out for dinner.”
Reflecting on their earlier days, Michelle laughed: “We used to stay out drinking until the early hours. Now, after dinner, I’ll look at my watch and go, ‘It’s 9:30 pm — we’d better get home for bed!’ It’s a bit more boring now!”
But with a £3.5 million mansion in Essex — complete with five bedrooms, a gym, sauna, pool and cinema room — it’s no surprise she prefers a quiet night in.
In a separate interview with The Guardian, Michelle described the home as something they worked incredibly hard for. “We’ve made so many sacrifices,” she said. “We’ve missed milestones, spent time apart while Mark was in LA… but it was worth it.”
So while the glitz may have faded, Michelle and Mark have traded late nights for something far deeper — a quiet, grounded kind of love.
