Danielle Lloyd was diagnosed with cancer, breaking down in tears as she admitted, “I thought I was going to die.” But her cancer nightmare ended with a shocking twist

Former model and reality star Danielle Lloyd has opened up in a tearful interview, revealing the emotional toll of her recent cancer ordeal.

Back in February, the 41-year-old mum-of-five announced she had been diagnosed with skin cancer following the removal of a mole in December. Despite undergoing surgery to remove surrounding tissue and being initially told she was in the clear, Danielle later received a shocking phone call.

Doctors admitted a mistake had been made — they hadn’t received all the test results. “I just lost it,” Danielle shared. “I was terrified and angry. All I’ve done for months is cry.”

Eventually, after another excruciating wait, Danielle received the long-awaited confirmation that she was cancer-free. “I broke down in tears,” she said. “I called my family, my husband Michael, and my friends straight away. It felt like I could finally breathe again.”

Despite the relief, Danielle described the last few months as “horrendous”, saying she had to keep a brave face for her children while crumbling inside. “I was scared every day that I wouldn’t be there for them,” she admitted.

Her husband, Michael O’Neill, stood by her throughout, providing strength during her darkest moments. Danielle shares three sons – Archie, George and Harry – with ex-husband Jamie O’Hara, and two younger children, Ronnie and Autumn Rose, with Michael.
