Penny Lancaster turned heads in Knightsbridge on Monday night as she stepped into St Paul’s Church looking every inch the festive icon. The 54-year-old model and TV personality lit up the King’s Trust Carol Concert 2025 in a shimmering gold suit layered under a cosy beige fur coat, posing beside a towering Christmas tree that made her look even more radiant.
The annual charity event — founded in 1976 by King Charles to support disadvantaged young people — drew a glittering guest list. Dame Helen Mirren, 80, embraced the season in a deep green velvet coat with gold accents, while fellow Hollywood legend Pierce Brosnan, 72, cut a suave figure in a navy suit as he posed with the two glamorous women.

Penny’s outing came at an emotionally charged moment for her. Just days earlier, she broke down in a BBC Christmas special while recounting her and Rod Stewart’s 25-year love story. She admitted the memories overwhelmed her, saying she “kept welling up” as she relived the early days when Rod first reached out to her — nine months after they exchanged numbers.
Rod recalled that his bandleader, Carmine Appice, deliberately hid Penny’s number from him until he believed the singer was emotionally ready following his divorce from Rachel Hunter. Rod laughed that he “should have fired him but couldn’t,” while Penny admitted hearing the story again made her tearful, especially because she once thought she’d “never see Rod again.”

The couple, who now share sons Alistair, 20, and Aiden, 14, went on to build a blended family of eight children — something Penny admitted was daunting at first. She confessed that she “tiptoed very lightly” into Rod’s complicated family dynamic, wanting to be present without intruding. Choking up, she said she never imagined reaching the level of closeness they all share today. Rod gently added that “the kids adore her now, they look to her for advice.”

Elsewhere at the carol concert, stars including Jamie Cullum, Dominic West, Adrian Lester, and Love Island alum Tasha Ghouri — who rocked leather shorts — helped round out the festive, star-studded night.
