ITV’s latest daytime TV overhaul has sparked outrage and panic among fans of Loose Women, with reports revealing the show could lose up to a third of its current panel lineup in a sweeping cost-cutting move.

As part of a dramatic schedule change coming in January 2026, Loose Women will now only air for 30 weeks per year – slashing its presence on-screen nearly in half. The change comes as ITV restructures its entire morning block: Good Morning Britain will be extended until 9:30am, while Lorraine is also being cut down to a 30-minute runtime.
Behind the scenes, the shock decision has left presenters reeling. “Everyone is completely gutted and in shock,” a source told The Sun, adding that up to a third of the 26-strong Loose Women panel could face the axe.

The move is part of ITV’s wider cost-saving strategy, which aims to redirect budget toward other genres and expand its news output. However, fans aren’t buying the justification. One viewer wrote: “It’s the death of daytime TV. Cutting Loose Women and Lorraine? That’s the soul of ITV mornings!”
While Loose Women: The Podcast is expected to continue, it’s unclear which presenters will be retained for the shortened TV run – or how ITV will navigate the backlash.
With long-time faces like Ruth Langsford, Coleen Nolan, and Janet Street-Porter potentially on the chopping block, fans fear the show may never feel the same again.
