TV presenter Rob Rinder has spoken candidly about his personal connection to cancer and his determination to transform fear into strength after losing two people close to him to the disease.

The Amazing Hotels: Life Beyond the Lobby star, who previously appeared on Celebrity Bake Off for Stand Up to Cancer, shared that the experience meant far more than just raising money — it was about changing the way society talks about illness.
“All of us have been touched by cancer in some way,” Rob said. “In my case, I lost two people who were very close to me.”

Determined to shift the narrative, Rob urged a national change in how we perceive the disease. “We need to take away cancer’s power. We need to remove the terror,” he explained. “That helps people feel less frightened when diagnosed. It encourages early testing and openness.”
Despite his losses, Rob remains hopeful. “There’s increasingly good news — many cancers are now treatable. People can live with the disease and beat it. If we’re going to fight something, we must do it with a positive mindset.”
His message is one of resilience, awareness, and community strength — a reminder that changing the conversation can change lives.
