Alan Carr has been declared the ultimate Traitor in what fans are calling the “greatest finale of all time.” The 49-year-old comedian outwitted everyone on Thursday night’s explosive final of Celebrity Traitors, walking away with a massive £87,500 prize for Neuroblastoma UK, a charity supporting children with aggressive cancer.

Throughout the season, Alan managed to remain completely undetected — even as he “murdered” two contestants in plain sight. But it was far from an easy road. When fellow Traitor Cat Burns, 25, was voted out earlier in the game, Alan was left to navigate the final rounds alone, surrounded by Faithfuls Joe Marler, Nick Mohammed, and David Olusoga.
In the nail-biting finale, Alan successfully convinced Nick and David that he was one of them. When host Claudia Winkleman finally asked him to reveal his true identity, Alan broke down in tears, admitting the deception had been “tearing me apart.” Shocked and speechless, Nick held his hand to his mouth, while David was “flabbergasted,” echoing Kate Garraway’s words.

Fans flooded X with praise for the comedian’s performance. “Well done Alan. You deserved it the most. Murdering in plain sight twice – absolute genius!” one viewer wrote. Others dubbed him “the people’s princess for life,” with one saying: “Who would’ve thought Alan Carr would be the greatest Traitor of all time?”
Meanwhile, Joe Marler, who had come close to unmasking the Traitors, was left heartbroken after being voted out last minute. “I read it so wrong,” he said. “It hurts to be stabbed in the back like that.”
As the final episode closed, Alan’s emotional confession and victory sealed his place in Traitors history — a finale fans are already calling “cinematic perfection.”
