Amber Davies has brushed off the so-called Strictly curse once again — and this time, her boyfriend Ben Joyce seems equally unfazed.
The West End star, 28, was visited by Ben at her North London rehearsal studio just days after photos surfaced of her professional dance partner, Nikita Kuzmin, planting a gentle kiss on her forehead. Despite the intimate snap, Amber’s relationship appears rock-solid.
An onlooker told The Sun that Ben “looked a bit pensive” as he dropped off a large suitcase — accompanied by their beloved dog, Oreo — but insisted there was “no drama.” They added, “A lot of blokes would find it hard watching their missus dance for hours with a hunky partner, but he clearly trusts her.”
Amber later confirmed that Ben wasn’t bothered by the gossip, explaining, “The only good thing is Ben is not a****d. I can just brush it off because it’s not affecting us in any way, which is nice. He’s horizontal Ben!”
She also revealed she’s close friends with Nikita’s girlfriend, model Lauren Jaine. “I love Lauren so much,” Amber said. “I text her all the time — she spends more time with me than her fella! I’ve basically stolen her.”
Sources close to the actress dismissed talk of any behind-the-scenes tension, insisting that Amber and Nikita simply share a professional bond after she stepped in to replace Dani Dyer following her ankle injury. “It’s ridiculous for anyone to believe there’s anything going on,” one insider said. “Amber knows the truth and was completely unfazed by the photos.”
The duo were seen spending more than eight hours rehearsing their Cha Cha Cha before the affectionate moment was captured — just days after their steamy Argentine Tango left fans questioning whether the notorious Strictly curse had struck again.
