Danny O’Donoghue has officially said “I do”! The Script frontman, 44, has married his long-time girlfriend, Anais Niang, 31, in a romantic ceremony in the UK, with the newlyweds declaring they are “over the moon” to begin their journey as husband and wife.

In the first photo released from the big day, Danny looked dashing in a classic tuxedo with a white rose pinned to his lapel, while Anais stunned in a dreamy layered white gown, satin gloves, and a sweeping veil. The couple shared their excitement: “We’re over the moon to be married and now we take the first steps on the journey of the rest of our lives together!”
Their love story began during the pandemic in London, and they made their red carpet debut at the Pride of Britain Awards in 2021. Danny quickly won over fans by dedicating songs like One Thing I Got Right and At Your Feet to Anais, which he said was written directly about her.

In 2023, Danny proposed at their favourite spot on Earth — the Seven Sisters waterfall in Norway — after a secret trek carrying champagne and glasses up a mountain. “I nearly passed out from exhaustion,” he admitted, but the surprise was a success.
The marriage comes after a difficult period for Danny, who lost his bandmate and lifelong friend Mark Sheehan last year. Mark, a co-founder of The Script, passed away in hospital, sending Danny into a spiral of grief. “I went off the rails,” he told Lorraine Kelly, revealing he turned to alcohol and cigarettes to cope. But a turning point came after Christmas in Ireland, and Danny decided to go sober — cutting out booze, caffeine, and even smoking.
Now, with a new chapter in both his personal and professional life, Danny is finding healing through love and music. “Mark lives on through the music,” he said, as The Script continues with two new members. “We’ll never replace him — we wouldn’t even try.”
