Rylan Clark set for music comeback 13 years after X Factor exit – And This Time He’s Not Hiding Behind a Pseudonym

Rylan Clark set for music comeback 13 years after X Factor exit – teams up with legendary songwriter Diane Warren

Rylan Clark is making a surprise return to music — more than a decade after his short-lived run on The X Factor.

The TV and radio star, now 36, has reportedly flown to Los Angeles to work with iconic songwriter Diane Warren, the woman behind chart-topping classics like I Don’t Want To Miss A Thing by Aerosmith and If I Could Turn Back Time by Cher.

According to an industry insider, this marks a full-circle moment for Rylan, who has quietly been writing songs under a pseudonym for years. “His first love has always been music,” the source told The Sun. “So when the opportunity to work with Diane came up, he couldn’t say no.”

Rylan spent four days in LA last month, recording new material with the Grammy-winning hitmaker. The star, who became a household name after appearing on The X Factor in 2012 with his signature platinum blond hair, has since found major success on TV and radio — but now looks set to add “recording artist” back to his résumé.

In a recent interview, Rylan admitted: “I’ve released a couple of tracks I’m proud of — but not under the name Rylan. It’s fun seeing how they’ve done on their own.”

The collaboration with Warren could mark the beginning of a serious relaunch of his singing career — and fans are already buzzing at the prospect of hearing Rylan’s voice on a power ballad or club anthem.

Away from the studio, Rylan has remained refreshingly open about his personal life and image. He recently joked about his cosmetic treatments, admitting he’d “gone too far” at times but has no regrets. “It’s all a learning curve,” he said. “If it makes you feel better, go for it.”

Now, with his natural hair peeking through under a baseball cap and a new creative project in the works, Rylan seems poised to show the world a more authentic, confident version of himself — and possibly score the musical comeback of the year.
