Amanda Holden sparked controversy during Wednesday’s Heart Breakfast show (May 7) as she appeared to throw shade at Holly Willoughby — live on air.
While chatting with co-host Jamie Theakston about her new Netflix reality series Cheat: Unfinished Business, Amanda mentioned she wasn’t sure if the show would return for another season. That’s when Jamie cheekily teased, “What are they suggesting, getting Holly Willoughby in?”
Amanda’s reply was sharp: “No, they want a proper presenter.”
Jamie quickly warned, “You’re going to be in trouble,” to which Amanda jokingly responded, “No one’s listening.”
The remark instantly reignited rumours of a long-standing rivalry between the two TV stars, with fans recalling reports from 2023 that described their relationship as “toxic.” At the time, Amanda was accused of mocking Holly’s emotional speech on This Morning following the Phillip Schofield scandal.
Though Amanda had previously denied any feud, this new dig suggests their so-called “friendly competition” may still be simmering beneath the surface.
