Peter Andre has shared a devastating update about his mother Thea’s health, revealing that the 89-year-old has now lost the ability to speak as she continues to battle both Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s.
The singer, 52, admitted in his New! magazine column that witnessing her decline has been “absolutely heartbreaking.” He explained that while the disease is hardest on his mum, it is also “so painful for everyone who loves and cares for her.”

Despite the sadness, Peter reflected on a milestone moment, as Thea and his father Savvas recently celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary. The couple even received a congratulatory letter from King Charles. Peter said that although his mother’s speech is now almost non-existent, he knows “her heart will be filled with warmth” from all the love and support surrounding her.
Earlier this year, Peter shared an emotional farewell moment in Australia when his mother gently caressed his face as he prepared to return to the UK. He wrote at the time: “Spending time with mum is always the most important part of my trip. Words are not always needed. I love her so much, I pray she knows that.”

Peter and his wife Emily, 36, were seen putting on a united front at the 2025 WellChild Awards in London on Monday, even as his bitter feud with ex-wife Katie Price continues. Katie recently revived tensions by claiming there were “three of us in the marriage,” referencing Peter’s manager, and describing the aftermath of their split as “16 years of hell.” Peter, meanwhile, has accused her of “peddling baseless lies” about their children’s living arrangements, insisting a court order secured their residence with him in 2019.

Their daughter Princess, 18, who has just launched her ITV2 reality series The Princess Diaries, has tried to stay out of her parents’ feud, saying the show is about her own life and not theirs. She stressed that “there’s no rift” between her and either parent, despite her mother’s recent complaints about being excluded from filming.
