Dermot O’Leary and Alison Hammond were reunited on This Morning after several weeks apart – but their first episode back together quickly turned chaotic.
During one of their trademark post-break dances, set to Chesney Hawkes’ The One and Only, Alison accidentally stomped on Dermot’s foot, leaving the presenter doubled over in pain. Yelling “OW! Oh man!” live on air, Dermot admitted it hurt far more than expected.

Alarmed, Alison asked if she had stepped on him, only for Dermot to cry out, “YES!” Still laughing at the accident, Alison apologised profusely, telling him: “I’ve put on a bit of timber this summer. I’ve been eating a few patties in Jamaica. Bit of rice and peas – I’m so sorry. You alright, love? I do apologise.”
Dermot, wincing and rubbing his foot, shot back with mock outrage: “That was unforgivable. Ooh. That heel. Urgh, that is a sharp wedge.”

Luckily, the injury was nothing serious and the duo carried on with the show, later chatting to Downton Abbey star Lesley Nicol about the franchise’s third and final film.
Earlier in the programme, Alison had Dermot laughing again as she recalled her summer travels. She described Amsterdam as “so, so lovely” after visiting the Van Gogh Museum, Anne Frank’s House and the city’s canals – but cheekily added that some of her adventures were best left unsaid. “What happens in Amsterdam stays in Amsterdam, you know what I mean? I walked down a certain road, seen what was going on. Opened my eyes babe, opened my eyes,” she teased.
