Together Again! Gethin Jones reunites with Helen Skelton as he praises ‘superb’ career move

Welsh presenter Gethin Jones has made his return to Morning Live alongside co-host Helen Skelton, and the pair are already teasing an uplifting new project with Children in Need and DIY SOS.

Sharing a smiling selfie on Instagram with Helen and Olympic champion Greg Rutherford, all three donning white hard hats featuring the iconic Pudsey Bear, Gethin wrote: “Superb afternoon on site @bbcdiysos – huge task, but life-changing for many.” He also tagged DIY SOS host Nick Knowles, sparking excitement among fans.

It’s not the first time Gethin and Helen have joined forces for a good cause. Earlier this year, they raised an incredible £890,745 with their Wheely Big Challenge for Comic Relief’s Red Nose Day, proving they make a powerful team both on and off the screen.

For Gethin, this return to television comes after a difficult summer. The Cardiff-born presenter revealed in August that his father, Goronwy Jones, had passed away following a short illness. In a moving tribute, he spoke of his dad’s deep love of classical music and the strength of his faith, which stayed with him until the very end.

Alongside his professional comeback, fans continue to speculate about his close bond with Helen. The pair, who have been spotted together outside of work, were recently seen sharing a cosy lunch near the Morning Live studios in Manchester. At one point, Gethin even held an umbrella over Helen to keep her dry, while he stood in the rain himself – a small gesture that did little to silence whispers of a romance between them.

With their chemistry both on and off screen, viewers are eager to see how far this partnership will go – in charity, television, and perhaps even in love.
