King Charles and Sir David Attenborough Unite to Deliver Powerful Message at Ocean Film Premiere
In a historic moment for environmental awareness, King Charles III joined Sir David Attenborough at the London premiere of Ocean, a new film described as the veteran broadcaster’s most important work yet. Held at Royal Festival Hall, the event gathered 2,000 guests — but all eyes were on the King and the soon-to-be 99-year-old nature legend.

Walking the “blue carpet,” the King warmly greeted guests, chatted with campaigners and filmmakers, and shared laughs with Sir David. Their decades-long mutual respect for the environment shone through as they posed for photos before settling in to watch the film.
In Ocean, Sir David warns of the planet’s declining ocean health, calling it “our greatest asset against climate change” and urging action. “If we save the sea, we save our world,” he declares in what may be his most poignant message to date.
The King, long known for championing green causes, was praised for lending his presence to the premiere. Producer Toby Nowlan called the collaboration “a moment in history” and added: “The King and Sir David are pillars of conservation – this film is their shared legacy.”
As the two icons stood side by side — one the monarch, the other the voice of the Earth — their united front sent a clear message: the time to act is now.
