Chris Evans has given fans a rare glimpse into his private world as he revealed his 13-year-old son Eli is recovering from an operation.
The 59-year-old Virgin Radio DJ, who shares twins Walt and Boo, Eli and Noah with his wife Natasha Shishmanian, posted a heartfelt family snap from Eli’s hospital room. In the photo, Eli could be seen smiling in bed with his siblings and mum by his side, while Chris joked that after finishing CarFest he had moved on to “EliFest”.

Keeping the mood light, Chris later shared more photos of Eli in good spirits. The teenager was pictured in a wheelchair, wearing a hospital gown with his left leg bandaged and raised, flashing a peace sign during a trip to the supermarket before enjoying snacks in a garden picnic. Chris captioned the moment simply: “Eli shops and picnics.”

Although the radio star did not disclose the reason behind Eli’s operation, fans were relieved to see the teen smiling and surrounded by family support.

The update comes just weeks after Chris broke down in tears live on air while saying goodbye to his long-time co-host Vassos Alexander. Choking back emotion, Chris thanked him for his love and friendship, recalling how Vassos stepped in to cover the show when his mother Minnie passed away in 2018. Vassos, in turn, described working alongside Chris as “the honour of my life”, sealing their partnership as one of the most memorable “bromances” in British radio.
