23-Year Reign in Jeopardy: The One Name Threatening to End Ant and Dec’s Streak: Are Ant and Dec About to Lose It All?

Ant and Dec, the unbeatable duo who have dominated the Best Presenter category at the National Television Awards (NTAs) for a record-breaking 23 years, may finally have some serious competition.

With voting now open for the 2025 NTAs, bookies are beginning to question whether the Geordie pair’s 24th consecutive win is still a sure thing. While they remain favourites with 2/5 odds, rising stars are catching up fast.

Claudia Winkleman, fresh off the back of her hugely successful run on The Traitors, is now the second favourite with 3/1 odds. The BBC show has become such a phenomenon that a celebrity spin-off is already confirmed for this autumn, boosting Claudia’s public appeal to new heights.

Meanwhile, Gary Lineker has surged to third place in the odds at 7/2, following the emotional announcement of his departure from the BBC after three decades. His legacy on Match of the Day and recent surge in public support have made him a serious contender.

A spokesperson from BoyleSports remarked, “Ant and Dec have ruled the roost for years, but the competition this year could make this contest as tough as a Bushtucker Trial. Claudia and Gary are both attracting big support — this might not be the easy win Ant and Dec are used to.”

Trailing behind are Maya Jama (8/1), and both Alison Hammond and Bradley Walsh at 10/1. Meanwhile, Jason Manford and Barney Walsh appear to be longshots, with odds of 100/1.

While the NTAs have long felt like Ant and Dec’s territory, 2025 may finally mark a changing of the guard.
