£10m, One Baby and a Fresh Start: Ant McPartlin Quits London, Spending Over £10 Million on a Mega Mansion in Surrey as He Enters a New Family Chapter

Ant McPartlin has well and truly lived up to his famous catchphrase, declaring “I’m a Celebrity… get me out of here!” as he quietly swaps London life for one of Britain’s most sought-after villages.

The Ant McPartlin star, 50, has relocated to leafy Surrey after snapping up a vast new-build mansion on an exclusive private estate for a record-breaking price of more than £10million — with over £1million spent on stamp duty alone.

The move comes just two months after Ant sold his luxury Wimbledon home, following a long-running planning dispute with neighbours. Although he has denied the row pushed him out, locals say the fresh start has set tongues wagging.

One resident revealed the sale has become the village’s biggest talking point, saying it was “apparently a record for the area and it’s all anyone is gossiping about,” adding that the acre-wide estate means Ant “shouldn’t have trouble with the neighbours any more.”

Financial worries are clearly not on the agenda. Ant has recently signed a lucrative £30million ITV deal alongside his longtime presenting partner and best friend Declan Donnelly, with the pair continuing their golden run as one of Britain’s most bankable TV duos.

The relocation also reflects a major shift in Ant’s personal life. He and his wife Anne-Marie Corbett, 47, welcomed their son Wilder just over 18 months ago, and locals say the couple have already been spotted enjoying low-key family outings.

“He looks very content and is always happy to say hello to people who recognise him,” one neighbour said. “But I don’t think he’ll be bothered too much around here — we’re used to celebrities in the local pubs.”

Ant’s former London property, which he bought for £6million in 2019, had been heavily remodelled with two extensions and a swimming pool complete with Victorian-style changing rooms. However, tensions flared when neighbours accused him of wanting to remove protected trees “on a personal whim,” despite a tree preservation order.

The fresh Surrey chapter marks a far cry from Ant’s darkest years, when a painkiller addiction following a botched knee operation, coupled with alcohol problems, nearly derailed his career. After rehab stints in 2017 and 2018 — including one following a drink-driving crash — Ant stepped away from television and later split from his wife of 11 years, Lisa Armstrong.

He has since credited Anne-Marie, his former PA whom he married in 2021, with helping him rebuild his life — and becoming a father for the first time in May 2024 has cemented what friends describe as his happiest chapter yet.
